Jerry Vielhauer '27

Biography

Jerry Vielhauer ‘27 is a Political Science major, with an American Politics concentration and a Methodology Specialization, from Manlius, New York. Jerry also has minors in Constitutional Studies, Business Economics, and Theology. He serves as the 2025-26 Student Body President of Notre Dame, after serving as the Vice President of his class for the previous two years. In that role, he acts as the head of the Student Union, representing the 8000+ members of the student body and engaging in both policy and programming initiatives. Jerry also works in a number of roles in Notre Dame RecSports. In the Sports Programs Department, he began as an Official, before moving up the ranks to Supervisor, then Manager on Duty. Additionally, he is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and an American Red Cross Certified First Aid/CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers Instructor.

Jerry has interned for The Heritage Foundation, as a part of the Young Leaders Program, where he got hands-on experience in the private sector of DC at a leading think tank. His career interests lie at the intersection of law, government, and sports, where he is looking to gain additional real-world experience before attending law school.
