Julia Flood '27

Biography

Julia Flood ‘27 is from New Jersey and is majoring in Economics with minors in Chinese and Social Entrepreneurship. During the summer of 2024, Julia spent six weeks in South Africa consulting for entrepreneurs in poverty, creating tailored business solutions centered on growth and stabilization. The following summer, she was a Research Design intern at the Wilson Sheehan Lab for Economic Opportunities where she, in close collaboration with partner organizations, designed randomized controlled trials to test the effectiveness of poverty alleviation programs. These hands-on experiences have deepened Julia’s passion for innovation and impact-driven work.

On campus, she is a Research Assistant for the McKenna Center for Human Development and Global Business where she supports programs that empower and assist disadvantaged entrepreneurs in starting and growing their own businesses. Through the Student International Business Council (SIBC), she has strengthened her critical-thinking and analytical skills by contributing to consulting projects with KPMG, Accenture, and EY. She also enjoys contributing to campus life through her roles on the Breen-Phillips Hall Executive Board, the Club Coordination Council, and as a tour guide for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Looking ahead, Julia is eager to apply her skills to a career at the intersection of business and social impact.
