Biography
Kellan Ren ‘28 is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio and is studying Computer Science and Economics. Along with being a member of the Sheedy Family Program, he is also in the Glynn Family Honors Program. On campus, Kellan is a member of Quant Club, where he really enjoys learning about quantitative trading strategies and working on applied problem sets in statistics and probabilities that mirror real-world quantitative finance challenges. He is also passionate about serving his community through his commitment at the Dismas House, a community for formerly incarcerated individuals to heal.
In the summer of 2025, Kellan conducted research on Blue Chip and Federal Reserve macroeconomic data with a Finance professor from the Lindner College of Business. There, he was able to practice the intersection of computer science and economics, extracting and structuring data in order to perform statistical analysis and examine the historical effects of Blue Chip vs Fed forecasts on asset pricing and the economy. At home, Kellan is also the Chief Operating Officer at All Star Student Detailing, a student-ran mobile car detailing company, leading a team of over 20 employees and generating over $120,000 in revenue.
