Lia De Valenzuela '26

Biography

Lia De Valenzuela ’26 is a psychology major with minors in business economics and philosophy. Originally from Bogotá, Colombia, she serves as a Distinguished Leader in the Sheedy Family Program, where she helps shape programming and mentorship opportunities for students. Through the Kellogg International Scholars Program, Lia has contributed to research with Professor Aníbal Pérez-Liñán on the relationship between polarization and democracy in Latin America.

Her professional experiences include serving as a research assistant with the Notre Dame International Race and Human Rights Lab, focusing on projects related to Sino-American relations and global social movements. In the summers of 2024 and 2025, she interned in PwC’s Asset and Wealth Management Consulting division in New York City, where she strengthened her skills in teamwork, communication, and data analysis. On campus, Lia also works as an International Admissions Intern, advocating for international student experiences during recruitment and admitted-student programming. She is passionate about applying psychology and her global perspective to social science research and impact-driven consulting.
