Luke Donoghue '27

Biography

Luke Donoghue is a second-year student from Rockville Centre, New York, pursuing a double major in Finance and Global Affairs and a minor in Chinese. Before coming to Notre Dame, he attended Regis High School in Manhattan, New York. In addition to being a member of the Sheedy Family Program, Donoghue is also a Scott Scholar and a McNeill Fellow. Donoghue spent his past summer studying economics and immigration issues in Panama with a small cohort of Notre Dame students and then participating in an intensive Mandarin language immersion program run in Beijing, China, through Princeton University. He intends to return to China for further study before graduating in 2027.

Donoghue has explored his passion for business by participating in SIBC projects with McKinsey, Citibank, and Morningstar. He now leads an impact consulting project with BCG and Teach for America. Donoghue is also a teaching assistant on campus, tutoring students in calculus. He is excited to participate in research projects and to contribute to the Notre Dame and South Bend communities through volunteer service.
