Matt Baird '26

Biography

Matt Baird '26 is a Finance and English double major from Danville, California, with a focused interest in the intersection of finance, technology, and the common good. Last summer, he interned at TriplePoint Capital, a Menlo Park-based venture debt firm serving venture-backed companies across a broad range of industries. After graduation, Matt will join KKR’s Tech Growth team in San Francisco, investing in leading growth-stage technology companies. 

At Notre Dame, Matt has been active in the Student International Business Program, Notre Dame Venture Capital, and The Observer. He has competed in on-campus case competitions hosted by Capital One and KPMG and represented Notre Dame at intercollegiate stock pitch competitions hosted by Cornell University and the University of Houston.

In addition, Matt interned with Mercury Learning, an imprint of De Gruyter Books, one of the world’s largest academic publishers. During the spring of 2025, he studied abroad in Angers, France, at Université Catholique de l’Ouest, deepening his engagement with French language and culture.
