Biography
Macy Hopkinson graduated from Notre Dame in May 2025 with a double major in Finance and History. As part of the Sheedy Scholars Track and History Honors Program, Macy wrote a history senior thesis titled "From Theory to Empire: Hugo Grotius as Legal Architect of Global Empire, 1595-1625." During her time at Notre Dame, Macy was the Founder and President of the Notre Dame Ski & Snowboard Club in which she earned the "Club Officer of the Year Award." Macy was also selected into the President's Circle Mentorship Program and was a Student Fellow in the IDEA Center where she advanced to the semi-final round of the McCloskey New Venture Competition as part of the start-up heARsight. In addition to those leadership roles, Macy participated in two project teams each for the Student International Business Council (SIBC) and the Notre Dame Venture Capital Club (NDVC), and was actively involved in the Undergraduate Women in Business Association and the Wall Street Club. She broadened her academic experience through Notre Dame’s summer programs in Dublin and Rome, studying coding, history, and theology. After graduation, Macy joined Shore Capital Partners, a lower middle-market private equity firm, as an analyst on their investment team in Chicago. In this role Macy is responsible for conducting due diligence on new investment opportunities and implementing value-creation initiatives within portfolio investments.
