Biography

Tristan Shin, a junior from Daegu, South Korea, is pursuing majors in Computer Science and Political Science with a minor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the University of Notre Dame. His primary interest lies in how public policy and technology can work together to alleviate poverty, and he regularly shares his thoughts on these issues through his personal blog.

Tristan interned at Notre Dame’s IDEA Center as a Commercialization Intern, where he worked on turning research projects into viable commercial ventures. He is also active in Notre Dame Venture Capital and LIKELION Notre Dame, a student-run tech entrepreneurship club, where he served as Vice President for the Midwest division and founded the Notre Dame chapter.

Looking ahead, he aims to further explore how public policy, technology, and entrepreneurship can come together to create effective solutions and drive social change.
