Yezenia Palacio Villavicencio '28

Biography

Yezenia Palacio Villavicencio ‘28 is a double major in Finance and English, originally from Carmel, IN. In addition to the Sheedy Family Program, Yezenia also serves on the Financial Management Board as the Assistant Student Union Treasurer. In the summer of 2025, she participated in Notre Dame’s six week International Economics study abroad program in Berlin, Germany. She hopes to study abroad further while at Notre Dame and is open to exploring career options both within and outside the United States.

On campus, Yezenia is involved with projects on Students in Business Council and is an active member, part-time instructor, and choreographer within Ritmo, a latin dance group on campus. Within English, she enjoys writing fiction as well as editing creative and noncreative writing. As a freshman, Yezenia served on the Financial Committee of Notre Dame’s First Year Class Council for the 2024-2025 academic year. These experiences encouraged her to pursue a career in financial services that would hopefully culminate at the intersection of business and English.
