Biography

Gabriela Botero Constain ’29, from Bogotá, Colombia, is double-majoring in Finance and Economics with a minor in Art History. She is particularly interested in how access to credit and financial services can expand economic opportunity in underserved communities, especially across Latin America.

This past summer, Gabriela interned at Addi, a Colombian financial technology company focused on expanding access to consumer credit. The experience deepened her interest in financial inclusion and in the role that companies can play in improving access to financial services. She continues exploring that interest in South Bend through First Generation Investors, where she teaches financial literacy to local students.

Gabriela is also involved in the Student International Business Council, where she has worked on projects including a mock leveraged buyout model and a trading recommendation, gaining hands-on exposure to financial analysis and investment decision-making. She also serves on the Student Programming Committee at the Raclin Murphy Museum of Art, helping create programming that makes art more engaging and accessible to students. Her interest in art history complements her studies in finance and economics by giving her another way to think about culture, institutions, and the way people understand value.
