Katie spent her past summer as a Product Marketing Intern at Chime, a financial technology company. Tasked with improving customer onboarding and engagement for Chime’s AI financial assistant, Jade, she researched best practices and identified key questions needed to understand members’ financial situations, behaviors and goals. She also conducted a competitive analysis of AI-powered financial tools to identify whitespace opportunities for Jade and created a visual design audit. Katie presented her findings and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders for implementation. In addition to her work at Chime, she spent time at the London School of Economics where she studied Strategic Management, which enhanced her interest in business strategy and product innovation.
Beyond her academic and professional interests, Katie is committed to expanding opportunity for others and supporting underserved communities. As a teaching assistant at Peninsula Bridge, she helped students develop the skills and confidence needed for academic success. Through the Immigration Institute of the Bay Area, she helped immigrants prepare for the U.S. citizenship examination. She also completed 20 hours of training to serve as an online advisor with TeenTalk, supporting teenagers navigating loneliness, anxiety, and depression.
Katie is exploring career opportunities in strategy consulting, fintech, product strategy, technology, or a high-growth startup.
