Biography
William Neese ’29, originally from Grand Junction, Colorado, is a double major in Finance and Accountancy with a minor in Education, Schooling, and Society. Through the Student International Business Council, William has worked on consulting-style advisory projects for outside organizations, including a data integration proposal for a mock health tech firm and a strategy to integrate social determinants of health in insurance planning. He has applied similar analytical thinking through Innovation For Impact, researching market conditions in Uganda to help restructure a vocational training center’s microloan model. As a Sheedy Family Scholar, Will has connected this analytical work with broader questions about business’s role in society.
Outside of Mendoza, William is a member of Keough Hall, where he serves as Editor in Chief of the hall’s newspaper, directing weekly coverage of campus news and interviews. He also volunteers with First Generation Investors, teaching personal finance to local high school students, and leads campus tours for prospective students and their families through the Admissions Office. Last summer he studied abroad in Greece, studying the architecture of ancient temples and their relationship to the local landscape.
